Carriage Hill Consults With DHHS

By Sara Nadeau

Sara Nadeau, Administrator, and Cheryl Szacik, Director of Nursing, met this week with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) for a consult regarding assisted living licensure requirements. This consult was a collaborative effort between Carriage Hill Assisted Living and DHHS to prepare for our initial licensure inspection scheduled for mid-November. We welcomed this opportunity to have DHHS review our policies and forms, answer questions and provide input on clinical operations.

It is of critical importance to our organization to meet or exceed state licensure requirements, not only to ensure we obtain and maintain our licensure, but more importantly, to ensure that our standards of resident care are exemplary. We appreciate the input we received from DHHS during the consult and mutual effort to ensure our assisted living residence NH meets all requirements for operation. Our initial licensure inspection in mid-November will ensure we open on schedule to residents on December 1st.
