Initial Application For Licensure Submitted

By Sara Nadeau

Carriage Hill Assisted Living submitted its initial application for licensure to the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) this week. Assisted living facilities must be licensed by the DHHS to operate in New Hampshire. Licensure, and the on-site inspections that are part of the licensure process, are to ensure facilities are in compliance with all of the required rules and regulations and are providing a safe and caring environment for residents. We look forward to working with DHHS through the initial, as well as ongoing annual, licensure process! The expertise of the surveyors at DHHS is invaluable given their years of experience.

Since our facility is still under construction, the licensure process will not be finalized until construction is completed. The licensure process will include an inspection of our physical building as well as an inspection of our operations, policies and procedures. Our goal is to obtain licensure immediately upon completion of construction in order to open our doors to our residents on schedule!
